📏 How to Accurately Measure Your Ring Size?

At MYSOUL, we use international standard Hong Kong sizes (HK Size) and US sizes (US Size). To give you peace of mind when shopping for rings online, please refer to the following two simple and highly accurate measuring methods you can do at home:

Method 1: Measure Your Finger Circumference (Ideal if you don't have a ring)

This is the most direct method. You only need a soft measuring tape with millimeter (mm) markings.

  1. Position: Wrap the measuring tape around the base of the finger you intend to wear the ring on (exactly where the ring will sit). Be careful not to measure too high or too low.
  2. Tighten: Please pull the tape slightly tight to simulate how a ring fits securely on your finger. This prevents the ring from being too loose and slipping off.
  3. Read: Ensure you start reading from the "0" mark (if the tape has a metal tip, the edge of the metal is usually 0).
  4. Compare: Note down the measurement in millimeters (mm). This is your Circumference. Please refer to the "Circumference (mm)" column on our Ring Size Chart to find your corresponding size.
    • 💡 Example: As shown in the reference image, the index finger circumference is 55mm, which equals HK Size 15 / US Size 7.

Method 2: Measure the Inside Diameter of an Existing Ring (Most Accurate!)

If you already have a ring that fits well, this is the highly recommended method with the least margin of error.

  1. Prepare: Get a flat ruler and your well-fitting ring.
  2. Measure: Place the ruler flat over the ring and accurately measure the Inside Diameter across the widest part of the center.
  3. Note: ⚠️ Please measure ONLY the distance from the inner edge to the inner edge. Do not include the thickness of the metal outer band.
  4. Compare: Note down the inside diameter in millimeters (mm) and compare it against the "Diameter (mm)" column on our Ring Size Chart to find your size.

⚠️ Important Notes on Sizing & Common Discrepancies

To ensure a perfect fit, please be aware of the following daily factors that may naturally affect your finger size:

  • 🌡️ Temperature: In hot weather or after exercising, your fingers may swell slightly due to expanding blood vessels; conversely, they may shrink slightly in cold weather. This can cause your size to fluctuate by 1 to 2 sizesthroughout the day, which is completely normal.
  • 💧 Water Retention: Everyone's body constitution is different. Your fingers might experience slight swelling in the morning or after consuming high-sodium foods. We highly recommend measuring in the evening when your finger size is usually the most stable.
